Offical Portal Gun replica incoming

The cake may be a lie, but this official Portal gun replica is very real – and we want one

Portal fans rejoice: you can now own your very own Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. Well, okay, it won’t actually create a physics-bending hole in the universe, but this official, life-size Valve-sanctioned replica will light up. With blue and orange lights.

We don’t know if the Portal Gun will make the appropriate noises too, but with its US$130 price tag, we’d hope so.

The Portal Gun replica is one of a wave of Valve licensed products announced by NECA and set to hit shelves this summer. Also coming are Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life action figures, but let’s be honest: it’s the Portal gun we want. It’s the perfect accompaniment to this delicious cake we’re eating.
