PlayStation Now, Sony’s pioneering game streaming service, is finally available in the UK.

From today, UK residents with a PS4, PS3, selected Sony Bravia TV or selected Sony Blu-ray player will be able to rent and play a number of titles direct from their internet-connected device. Obviously, if you’re playing through a TV or Blu-ray player, you’ll need to invest in a controller as well.

Games are priced between £2.99 and £7.99, and you can rent for a period of 48 hours or 30 days. Titles available during the beta include Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, BioShock Infinite, Dead Space 3 and Mirror’s Edge.

Sony says the beta went live on the consoles at 11am, and will be available on TVs and Blu-ray players at 4pm. I had to restart my PS4 to get the service to appear, so if you fire up your console only to find no PS Now option in sight, give that a try. We’ll be giving the service a proper trial as soon as we can, so look out for an in-depth hands-on review in the next day or two.

Sony has also announced that anyone who purchases a selected Bravia 4K TV model between now and 31st August will be able to claim a free DualShock 4 controller and free 30-day rental of six PS Now games. The TVs in question are the X83, X85, S85, X90 and X94 series.
