We’re not sure any level of preparation can ready our faces for 4K video close-ups, but that hasn’t stopped rumours of 4K smartphones landing this summer from cropping up online.
It all stems from Qualcomm’s announcement that its mighty Snapdragon 800 processor will be going into mass production in May, leaving just enough time for them to enter the next generation of superphones.
With up to 2.3GHz of quad-core power (yes, really) and a graphics processor capable of 4K video playback and recording, it shouldn’t be too long before we’re gasping at our screen-weathered faces in Ultra HD. Now all we need is a 4K telly…
