Apple slashes price of Retina Display MacBook Pro

£200 snipped from the price tag for 13in model, plus processors get a bump

Apple has updated the price and processing power of the MacBook Pro with Retina Display range, cutting the former and upping the latter.

The 13in MacBook Pro with Retina Display now starts at £1,249, while the 15in model begins at £1,799. Additionally, Apple now offers the smaller model with a new 2.6GHz dual-core Intel i5 processor and 256GB of SSD storage for £1,449. The 15in model offers a choice between 2.4GHz and 2.7GHz quad-core i7 processors.

The price of the 13in MacBook Air with 256GB of flash memory has been snipped to £1,199 too.
