Audi’s carbon skis bring sexy to the slopes

You thought your new skis were top of the line. Audi is about to start a whole new queue

Audi is known for precision engineering, a trait most welcome when your life depends on two planks beneath your feet at over 50mph. A sprinkle of vorsprung durch technik has been applied to these sexy, streamlined 1.5kg mountain-eating skis. Weighing 200g less than comparable models and encompassing a parabolic design means greater manoeuvrability (hit less trees), more speed (show off better), and extreme agility (avoid more snowboarders).

Audi says it’s developing the skis for series production and the planks should be available to the public this winter when a price will be announced. Time to buy that new helmet then.
