BBC to offer 2,500 hours of Olympic coverage

Better get cracking with that time machine – it's the only way you'll be able to devour all of the Beeb's Olympic footage

The BBC has revealed its coverage plans for the Olympics, which includes up to 24 live HD streams as well as a whopping 2,500 hours of coverage via the BBC Sport website.

A free Olympics mobile app will also be available for die-hard sports fans on the go while a BBC Sport app for connected TVs will be the go-to portal for all your sporting needs.

The plethora of live streams will also be accessible via the BBC’s Red Button service, and BBC One, Two, Three, BBC HD and BBC One HD will all be chipping in to show you the games over its 17 day duration.

Now if you’ll excuse us we’re off to train our eyes to keep up with it all. It’s a hard job being a couch competitor after all.
