Bing’s homepage gets a Halloween makeover – Update

Microsoft's search engine plays dress-up for Halloween. Trick or treat!

Bing’s given its homepage a Halloween makeover consisting of a dark and stormy cloud backdrop, complimented by a gloomy gargoyle.

The gothic scene is littered with hotspots linking to information about all things Halloween (apparently there’s more to it than just free sweets) and while not terrifying, it opens the possibility of future video themes to make web searches just that little bit more enthralling.

We’re hoping for customisable video backgrounds in the future. Ours would be a puppy wearing a hat, chasing its tail – on a continuous loop.

Update: We have been informed that the video homepage has been delayed, with a new launch date expected to be announced shortly.
