Canon EOS 6D specs leaked

We can expect a full-frame 20MP sensor in an APS-C sized body likely to appear at Photokina

The Canon EOS 6D has leaked ahead of the rumour inducing Photokina event starting on September 18th. We’ve already had two Leica cameras leak and a Panasonic Lumix GH3 appear ahead of the camera event – and now Canon has added its DSLR to the list.

We can expect to see a full-frame 20MP sensor in the APS-C sized body. But with Sony’s RX1, which is even smaller, expected to appear with a full-frame sensor – the EOS 6D may not be the first of this class.

The EOS 6D is also expect to sport a Digic 5+ image processor that manages ISO 100-25,600 at a maximum 4.5 fps. You can also look forward to an 11-point autofocus system, an f/2.8 cross-type sensor, a weather-sealed body, and a 3in LCD, plus Wi-Fi. It also looks like you’ll be able to use SD cards for storage.

Check back from the 18th September for full official details from the Photokina event.
