CES 2010: Lenovo LePhone hands on photos

A strong early contender for worst-named product of CES 2010, but the LePhone a very slick and solid Android phone with an impressive interface skin (

It has a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor (like the Toshiba TG01), so is lightening quick around the menus. At the moment it’s only running Android 1.6, but the skinning job gives it an impressive sheen.

The ‘contacts’ homescreen brings together email and texts, though it falls short of pulling together all your friends’ Twitter and FaceBook content like MotoBlur or Vodafone 360.

It’s well-specced with 8GB internal storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack and A-GPS, but the models on show worryingly didn’t support multi-touch.

The LePhone was also shown off with an optional external keyboard.

Lenovo says it definitely has plans to bring the LePhone to Europe, but it will be launching first in China in May.
