First free Xbox 360 game announced

Multiplayer combat game Happy Wars will be the debut free-to-play title on Microsoft’s console

Sony has been offering free-to-play games on PSN for a while now, and now Microsoft is catching up. This autumn, the Xbox 360 will get its first free-to-play Xbox Live Arcade title: Happy Wars.

The Japan-developed title, a cutesy multiplayer combat game, will be available free-of-charge to anyone with an Xbox Live Gold account. More games are promised for next year.
