Fully Charged: Microsoft Lumia 950 expected next week, and the Darth Vader DualShock 4

All the tech news you need for this fine Tuesday morning

Lumia 950 release date?

Waiting for Microsoft’s first Windows 10 phones? Your wait won’t be much longer: Windows Central reports that the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will both release on 20 November, and The Verge’s own sources confirmed the likely release date.

The Lumia 950 will sell for £450, while the larger model is priced at £530. Microsoft is also expected to start selling its Display Dock at the same time, which lets either phone turn into a portable PC of sorts using any TV. If the reports pan out, we’ll be rocking new Windows flagships for the end of next week – a sensation we haven’t had in a very long while.

Darth Vader DualShock 4

Darth Vader DualShock 4

Speaking of next week: remember that Darth Vader-themed PlayStation 4? Well, if you already have a PS4, don’t like the special console, or want all of your controllers to have the special colour scheme, you’re in luck.

Yesterday, Sony confirmed that the special Darth Vader DualShock 4 controller will release across Europe on 18 November, although the UK release will come a day later on the 19th. It’s an odd-looking scheme, but the glossy black plastic and subtle Star Wars branding on the touchpad are both pretty appealing.

EA Sports UFC 2 teased

Did you like last year’s EA Sports UFC? It was a little underwhelming at launch, but EA kept picking away at it with patches to address player issues. And luckily, the publisher will take another shot at the massively popular fighting license.

Yesterday, the official EA Sports UFC Twitter account posted a pretty unambiguous teaser: a big, red number two in an octagon, with today listed as the date below. "The Wait is Finally Over! Tune in tomorrow," it read. So we’ll tune in today. And we’ll let you know what we hear.
