Gadget of the Day: Boston Acoustics Duo-i

So what’s so special about the Boston Acoustics Duo-i that marks it out from all the other iPod docks out there?

Well it has an AM radio for a spot of Five Live (and FM, incidentally). Not doing it for you? How about a self damping ABS cabinet for rattle free music – not something you see everyday.

It’s been filled with BA’s customary high-end gear, including two of its 3.5 inch speaker drive units coupled with what it promises are ‘Hi-fi quality’ circuits to ensure the best possible sound

It’s a looker too, with a ‘soft touch’ cabinet in black or white, kinky moulded rubber controls and oh-so-soft blue backlighting to balance the perforated metal front grilles.

It’ll serve as your alarm and, best of all, can blend into any room thanks to a customisable front grille in standard black or white, or Chili pepper, Glacier, Rosebud and Spanish Moss – that’ll be red, light blue, pink and light green, then.
