Gadget of the Day – Roadstar LTD1088

In these days of 42, 60 and 72in monstrosities, have we no room in our hearts for the humble portable? It’s served us well in kitchens, caravans, bedrooms and cabs for decades. Well entering stage right to the sound of sleigh bells is this little ten-incher from Roadstar. You’ll note its svelte TFT dimensions and respectably high 800x480pixel resolution – still 300 lines short of HD but at this size we’re not complaining.Also crammed in to its space-saving frame is a DVD player and an SD slot for digital camera snaps.Meanwhile caravaners and truck drivers will be pleased to note it has multi-analogue tuners for use on the continent and it comes with a 12V adaptor for in the car. Guess that’s why they call it a Roadstar.
