Lucky, then, that Sanyo has decided to release its mini CG9 pistol grip movie shooter here on UK soil. It shoots at 60fps in YouTube- and Facebook-friendly MPEG-4/H.264 movie format – perfect for committing office high-jinks to tape.

While it might not be hi-def it does still manage 5x optical zoom and digital image stabilisation, coupled with a 2.5in screen for framing your impromptu masterpiece.

And how much for such movie-making convenience? Just £200. Such a small price for making your video page the talk of Facebook. You’ll be directing your own Hollywood epic in now time.
