The Carphone Warehouse has announced that it will offer gadgeteers and loyal Appleites the option to trade in their current iPad, Android or BlackBerry tablets for money off Apple’s recently revealed new iPad.
Currently, you can get £245, £275 or £325 off the price of the new iPad by trading in your 16GB, 32GB or 64GB Wi-Fi models, respectively. 3G versions of the iPad 2 can be traded in for £275, £325 and £355 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions as well.
If you’re still rocking the long-in-the-tooth first generation iPad, then don’t fret – you’ll still be able to get £135, £160 or £175 for the 16GB, 32GB or 64GB Wi-Fi versions when you pick up your new iPad. 3G versions will nab you a discount of £155, £175 or £205, for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB 3G versions, respectively.
As for the multitude of non-Apple tablets out there in the wild, you’ll have to go down to your local Carphone Warehouse for a valuation – but every little helps in the quest for the new iPad’s stunning Retina Display. Good luck, and happy upgrading.
