HTC J Butterfly packs a 5in 1080p screen
HTC sizes up the phablet playing field with this big, beautiful Butterfly – and its 1080p, 440ppi stunner of a screen

The HTC J Butterfly has emerged from its chrysalis sporting a stunning 440ppi, 5in screen.
But with giant-sized phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2, the LG Optimus Vu and the just-leaked Sony Xperia Odin battling it out for our affections, HTC needs more than just a pretty name and a killer display to win our affections. So it’s crammed in the impressively nippy 1.5GHz SnapDragon S4 quad-core processor, a hefty 2GB RAM, and an 8MP snapper – all running buttery smooth on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
So what’s the catch? It’s only available in Japan – the HTC J Butterfly appeared on a Japanese website with no word of an international release. Hopefully it’ll be fluttering our way soon.
