The plot thickens, not the gunpowder one, but the likely date for iPhone‘s European launch.Rumours have been flying of a deal with Vodafone, T-Mobile and Carphone Warehouse to bring The Coolest Gadget Ever™to Europe. Word was that we would find out on Monday but, despite our finger, toe and leg crossing, not a peep was heard from Apple. Now the latest spin is that we will get word later this week when Apple puts a curled little finger to the corner of its mouth and announces the sale of ‘one meeelion’ iPhones since Friday.Things have been given an extra stir by a newspaper in Germany, the Rheinische Post, which claims that the iPhone will be a T-Mob exclusive, selling for 450 Euros on 1st November.Yet another source, Netwireless.net, which came up with three-way Voda/T-Mob/Carphone story, reckons it’s still all on course but has been held up by legal wrangling, which will hopefully be sorted by the end of the week. All we can say is, ‘hurry up Apple’, or we may turn to buying those cheap Chinese knock offs.Essentials Apple iPhone 4GB, 8GB Price: £TBA ($500, $600) On sale: TBA (Now in US) Contact: Apple Related links: iPhone micrositeRelated stories: iPhones shoot off the shelves Review: Apple iPhone Apple iPhone – hands-on video review
