iPad Mini to come with Smart Touch Cover keyboard?
Can Apple swallow its pride and follow Microsoft’s brilliant evolution of the Smart Cover to include a thin keyboard?
Stealing gadget ideas these days is more common than rappers robbing Blue Note samples. So when Apple launches the iPad Mini on October 23rd we’re hoping it can forgive Microsoft for releasing a tablet case similar to its Smart Cover, but better. Then Apple will be able to riff off them and release its own Touch Cover with super thin keyboard for iPad.
The market is there for the Cupertino computer giant, which has been accused of losing its innovative edge in the past couple of years. Meanwhile Logitech has released the brilliant Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for the iPad (above) and the Microsoft Surface is relying on its Touch Cover as a major selling point. As the line between tablets and ultrabooks blurs, the iPad Mini needs to make an impact for a reason other than being budget friendly.
