They’ve done it, they’ve finally done it. After dipping seemingly every other gadget from Nokias to iPods in luscious gold, the boys and girls at Goldstriker have seen fit to coat an iPhone in pure 24-carat gold luxury.Luckily they’ve left a gap for the touchscreen but everything else, including the rear aluminium cover, has been given the gold treatment. It is, we believe, a world first but alas there’s still a short wait before you’ll be able to get your Midas hands on one. Goldstriker tells us the middle of the month should see it ready to order from the website for an undisclosed fee. We’ll just have to take a gold pen to Tom’s ’til then.Essentials24ct iPhonePrice: £TBAOn sale: mid-OctoberContact: GoldStriker.co.ukRelated stories:Gadget of the Day: Vivitar 7500i Limited EditionThe Sirocco with the golden touchPentax’s g-old school SLR
