The will it, won’t it saga of whether Manhunt 2 will ever make it onto UK shelves has taken another (knife) twist today.

The High Court has ruled in favour of the original British Board of Film Classification ban, overruling the Video Appeals Committee’s overturning of the decree that had green lighted it for release. Still with us?

Rockstar is understandably displeased by this – saying the violence in the game is within the usual bounds for an 18 cert release.

So, no Manhunt 2 for the foreseeable future, unless you can snaffle an import copy into the country and, in the case of the Wii, mod your console to play it. And we so wanted to crack someone’s spine with a knee to our Wii Remote, too…
