Nokia reveals Essence NFC Bluetooth in-ear headphones

Say goodbye to noisy commutes and hello to your own private music bubble

Nokia has recently revealed a pair of NFC-toting, Bluetooth-enabled in-ear headphones which it claims will eliminate up to 99.8% of pesky background noise, thanks to some clever active noise cancellation technology.

Connecting to NFC-capable devices should take nothing more than a tap. Standard compatible Bluetooth devices will also play nice, unshackling you from the constraints of tangled wires at last.

Nokia promises that its noise cancellation technology will provide enhanced bass levels without the need to crank up the volume to ear-damaging levels – a claim which we’re looking forward to testing out for ourselves once we have a solid release date and pricing information.
