Olympus has just pulled the wrappers of the E-450, a 10megapixel camera that at 380g is apparently the lightest DSLR in the world.
The camera, which will sit at the lower end of the Olympus range, uses the company’s Four Thirds lens mount and sports Live View via its rear 2.7in LCD screen. There’s also a TruePic III+ image processor, Shadow Adjustment Technology to boost exposure in dark parts of an image and face detection.
The E-450 has three AF points, an ISO range of 100-1600 and can shoot continuously at 3.5 frames per second, though it lacks video recording and image stabilisation.
The camera will launch in May and will be available body only, with a 14-42mm lens, or with a 14-42mm and a 40-150mm lens.
