Pentax K-x budget DSLR brings 12.4MP and HD video

Pentax has revealed its Pentax K-x DSLR this morning. For an entry level snapper its a sweet deal – 12.4MP sensor, 720P HD video at 24fps and a

The Pentax K-x DSLR will also give you face detection for up to 16 gurning visages which is good if you if you’re a popular partying sort. It’ll come with both an 18-55mm lens kit and 55-300mm.

Rather than simply coming in Henry Ford-approved black, the Pentax K-x DSLR will also come in red, white and blue.

The Pentax K-x DSLR is out in September for the rather reasonable price of £599. It’s more expensive then the Nikon D3000 but it’s pretty snazzy and definitely a compelling option for anyone after an entry level snapper.

But if you are on the hunt for a decent DSLR, you should also hop right over to our DSLR Top 10 where you’ll find the cream of the current crop.
