PlayStation 4 could be launched in May

Sony's next-gen gaming powerhouse could peek out from behind the velvet curtains as early as May

Sony’s vice president of home entertainment Hiroshi Sakamoto has stated to Chilean site Emol that the company is “focused on the E3 gaming event, scheduled for June” and that an announcement may be made then “or even earlier in May”.

Sure it’s still pretty vague, but it could potentially be pointing towards a PlayStation 4 reveal in just three months’ time, supporting rumours that both Sony and Microsoft’s consoles are important enough to nab their own limelight at separate pre-E3 events.

That’s all we have for now but we expect the console rumour mill to pick up pace over the next few months so keep an ear out for more news as and when we get it.
