From 5pm on August 3rd – that’s next Wednesday – you’ll finally be able to get your hands on Samsung’s 10.1 inch slice of Honeycomb action. Okay, Galaxy Tab fans, stop doing your victory dance. There’s a but. The tablet is only available at the flagship Currys and PC World store on Tottenham Court Road in London – cue the rest of the country baring their teeth and growling in a south-easterly direction.
Not to fear though, the official launch is the next day – August 4th – and early-birds can pre-order the Galaxy Tab 10.1, from £400 starting price, at Currys or PC World now. If you want to save money with the Wi-Fi option, it’s being sold exclusively in Currys and PC World stores and online for an entire month before anywhere else. Do we sense Samsung trying to create some iPad-like buzz in stores for its Android tablet?
