SingStar 2 set for summer release
Sony has successfully used SingStar to turn your basic, low–rent house gathering into a Mariah Carey caterwauling contest. And now they’re
The bang–up–to–date version comes with 30 new tracks and supports Remote Play, so you can buy more tunes on the move. Just in case you want to sing that Iron Maiden track rattling around your head when you get home.
Best of all though is ‘duet mode’, letting you and a sparring partner sing separate lines, McGowan and McCall style. Songs slapped in this category include (and we’re being deadly serious here), Celebration by Kool and the Gang and Paul McCartney and The Frog Chorus’s We All Stand Together.
Tracks by the likes of The Killers, Nirvana and Eminem are also available, just in case you want to get down on your own after a lengthy session in your local.
It’s due over the summer, but Sony’s keeping schtum about price. Whether we’ll take it up or plump for Rock Band though, is a whole different matter.
