Is Sony working on a Google Glass competitor?
Google's smart specs haven't even left the factory yet, but that hasn't stopped Sony from brewing up its own fancy eyewear
Sony is reportedly working on a Google Glass rival, if a patent it filed late last year is anything to go by.
The patent for a ‘head-mounted display apparatus’ shows off a traditional dual lens affair with in-built headphones. Getting Oakley Thump flashbacks? Yeah, us too.
The outlined specs are adjustable and will let users see information on both lenses as opposed to just one (as is the case with Google Glass).
Of course this could just be a patent and nothing more, although the thought of a waterproof pair of Xperia Z-inspired Glasses does make our gadget sense tingle with anticipation.
