Canon Ixus Wireless review
Canon's first ever Wi-Fi camera can ping photos to nearby computers and printers without a wire in sight
Canon’s sleek metal Digital IXUS is styled for the catwalk but specified squarely tech-savvy home user.
A subtle blue LED identifies the hidden Wi-Fi antenna, whcih can beam images directly to any PictBridge pritner (using a USB dongle, supplied) or to your home wireless network. Inside, Canon’s trusty Digic II processor ensure good, quick shots.
Transferring pics to a printer is a doddle but getting the Canon to work with a home 802.11b network takes a few minutes more. Point-and-shoot photos are clean and punchy – and don’t be fooled by the smaller 2in screen: it’s sharp, colourful and lets you frame in even the dimmest of conditions.
