These are the games you can play for free on PlayStation Plus in May
You might not love the idea of paying for a PlayStation Plus subscription, but that £50 a year includes a massive bounty of free games. Each and every month, Sony trots out a new selection of games you can download for free all month and then keep and play forever, so long as you maintain your Plus subscription. Here are the UK’s PS Plus freebies for May 2018, which will be available to download starting 1 May. And if you didn’t grab April’s free downloads yet, hurry up!
Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)
If you’re gearing up for Quantic Dream’s new Detroit: Become Human in May, then maybe you’ll want to loop back on the studio’s last cinematic adventure, the Ellen Page-starring Beyond: Two Souls.
Rayman Legends (PS4)
Now here’s a true gem. Ubisoft’s last Rayman game is a brilliant, hand-drawn, side-scrolling platformer, with vivid visuals and creative level designs. And it’s playable in four-player co-op, making it a surprisingly ideal pick for when mates are over.
Risen 3: Titan Lords (PS3)
Looking for an action-role-player to hack-and-slash your way through? Maybe Risen 3 will do the trick. This fantasy adventure finds you battling Titans and exploring towns and dungeons alike.
Eat Them! (PS3)
Want something even more mindless? Eat Them! takes its cues from classic Rampage as you smash through a city – only this time around, the power of digested people helps fuel your continued destruction.
King Oddball (Vita)
King Oddball looks much like a Flash game in style and scope: it’s a simple, arcade-like affair about picking up rocks and flinging them at tanks, soldiers, and helicopters below.
Furmins (Vita)
While not as action-packed as Housemarque’s usual fare (like the brilliant Resogun), Furmins looks like a fun Vita distraction. This cute game is all about setting up perfect platform routes to the goal before before dropping in the fuzzy titular creatures.
