It’s a service that eliminates ads from videos, lets you grant free monthly subscriptions to support streamers, and now includes several free games each month. Even if you’ll never use the streaming service, all Amazon Prime subscribers should snag the free Twitch Prime subscription and download these free PC games from the Twitch desktop app; they’re yours to keep forever. STRAFE
Still got an itch for old-school first-person shooters like Quake and Doom? Well, Strafe is a loving and exacting tribute to that formative era, with chunky polygonal graphics, straightforward shooting, and plenty of gore along the way.
TREADNAUTS
Just released earlier this year into Steam Early Access, Treadnauts is a rollicking four-player tank battler – albeit one that lets you drive along the ceilings, leap into the air, and try to crush your opponents. The hand-drawn, 2D aesthetic gives it a colourful allure and unique sensibility.
TUMBLESTONE
Unlike most match-three puzzle games, Tumblestone is built as a competitive multiplayer experience, challenging you to match faster to topple your friends. That gives it sort of a Super Puzzle Fighter edge, even if it’s not nearly as legendary as that Capcom classic.
