Nintendo’s amazing new console is a mini NES with 30 games
The Classic Mini is official, packed with games and an absolute bargain. That’s Christmas sorted
Wait… what?
You read that headline right, pal: Nintendo is bringing back the NES. Only a lot smaller.
It’s a replica Nintendo Entertainment System?
Yes, a tiny one, and it’s designed to hook up to your HDTV via an HDMI cable. It’s powered by USB, comes with a classic controller and – here’s the best bit – there are 30 games pre-installed.
Which games?!
Here’s the full list, and as you can see it includes some truly legendary titles:
Some of these are two-player games…
Yep, and don’t worry: you can buy a second controller, or use the Wii’s Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro, if you have them.
I want it. Now. What’s the price and when’s it out?
Sadly, you’re going to have to hold your horses for a while – it’s not going on sale until 11 November. Some UK retailers are now allowing you to pre-order it for £50, with an additional controller setting you back £8. Not a bad price to immerse yourself in several weeks’ worth of retro gaming delight, eh?
