Xbox One release date confirmed – 22 November

Gamers rejoice, the last mystery of the next-gen console wars has been revealed

Microsoft has officially revealed that the Xbox One will be released in all 13 of its initial launch markets on 22 November.

Xbox One production hit full swing this week, with Microsoft looking to churn out as many consoles as possible to meet the demand on release day.

Xbox One developers have also bumped the CPU from 1.6GHz to 1.75GHz, resulting in a ten per cent increase in power, in addition to the 6 per cent GPU increase that was reported a few weeks ago.

The Xbox One will hit UK shelves a whole week before the PS4 lands on 29 November, though the PS4 will be in US gamers’ hands a little earlier, with a 15 November release date across the pond.
