You’ll need a cool $10 million for Dying Light’s insane special edition

The Following's Spotlight edition is as exclusive as it gets

So your last game had the dubious honor of being the “most expensive ever” thanks to a ludicrous special edition. How do you top that? Easy. Go even bigger, even crazier, and even more expensive.

The My Apocalypse version of Dying Light cost £250,000 last year. For your cash, you got a trip to Poland, your face in the game, and a real-life, zombie-proof log cabin. Techland has teamed up with high street retailer Game again for the standalone expansion, in the process adding a few extra zeroes to the end of that number.

No, that’s not a misprint – Dying Light: The Following’s Spotlight edition really does cost $10 million.

The developer really has gone overboard this time, with a ridiculously tongue-in-cheek number of ‘special edition extras’ designed to tempt recent lottery winners or oil barons to part with their cash.

For starters, you’ll get a speaking role in Dying Light: The Movie (yeah, there’s a film version on the way), along with professional acting lessons from Roger Craig Smith (Assassin Creed’s Ezio Auditore).

You’ll be able to do your own stunts after some parkour training with a professional stuntman and instruction in off-road driving – or you can pass on duties to a stunt double while you retire to your personal trailer.

It sounds like your character won’t make it to the end of the film alive though; the bundle also comes with an FX make-up session in which you’ll probably be warped into a zombie.

When the premiere rolls around you’ll get 10 VIP tickets, along with a copy of the film script. Then you’ll go on the screening tour, with flights and accomodation included.

Oh, and you’ll get the game, of course – four copies, on PC, Xbox One and PS4, all signed by the development team.

Finally, if you think you can do a better job than the pros, you’ll even be able to re-record every line of protagonist Kyle Crane’s dialog in a unique version of Dying Light.

Yep, that’s probably $10 million well spent. Got that kind of change lying around? Get in touch with Game and book your place on set.
