Pentax Optio 750Z review

The 7MP 750Z produces A4 prints and even A3 enlargements, from a camera small enough to fit in your pocket

This is a meaty 7MP number that’ll produce first-rate A4 prints and even A3 enlargements, from a camera small enough to fit in your pocket.

Seven-megapixel cameras offer only a slight step down in resolution from top 8-megapixel models but at a much lower price and with much smaller dimensions.

Photographically, there’s little that 8-megapixel cameras can do that 7-megapixel ones can’t do just as well.

You’ll get nearly the same quality and control as a digital SLR but in a pocket-sized camera. The 750Z’s neat retro design packs a super-sharp 5x optical zoom. With full auto and manual exposure modes, a choice of metering patterns and a variety of built-in photographic effects – plus a handy swivelling LCD – it’s a great go-anywhere camera for serious photographers. This model gives ace results – a pocket-sized treat.
