Predictably gorgeous Bowers & Wilkins P7 headphones unveiled
It’s the first pair of over-the-ear cans from the Brit speaker stalwart, and we want a pair. You will too
Worthing-based audio specialist Bowers & Wilkins has launched its first pair of over-the-ear headphones, the P7. And they look a bit nice.
B&W says it has taken its many years of speaker-making experience and channelled it into the design of the P7. It promises tight bass, crisply-defined vocals and “a wonderful sense of space, balance and clarity across the whole frequency range”. Of course, it would say that, so we’ll let you know if that’s actually the case with a full review soon.
Leather, steel and aluminium
Like its predecessors, the P7 is constructed with top-notch materials like leather, stainless steel and aluminium, and the over-the-ear design means noise is passively isolated: less annoying for your fellow train passengers and more all-enveloping for you, without the need for charging or sticking batteries in an earcup. A detachable remote control and iPhone-friendly mic cable are included.
The B&W P7 will be out this month, priced at £330.
