Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag – pirate theme confirmed

The latest entry in the Assassin's Creed series will have you stepping into the sword-slinging, booze-drinking pillaging world of pirates. Arr.

Ubisoft has released the game pack shots for the next iteration of Assassin’s Creed, and we have an official title and theme. Say hello to Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

Using our legendary powers of deduction, we reckon Assassin’s Creed 4 will have something to do with pirates. Perhaps you’ll play as a pirate. Perhaps you’ll fight pirates. Perhaps you’ll captain a ship. Either way, there are pirates involved and that can only be a good thing.

Swashbuckling sword-slinging, drinking and treasure hunting all sound good to us, and with Ubisoft’s track record, we can’t wait to see the full reveal for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and the Wii U. Hopefully we’ll be able to duel with insults, like in pirate classic The Secret of Monkey Island.

We can confirm that Ubisoft will announce all the details of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag on Monday March 4th – so stay tuned for the full lowdown next week.
