Toshiba AT300 tablet joins the Tegra 3 club
Tosh's new slate comes crammed with ports and is finished off with a nice tasty dollop of Ice Cream Sandwich
Toshiba has revealed its latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, the AT300 – and it’s packed the quad-core power of Nvidia’s Tegra 3 processor and 1GB RAM into the slate’s 8.95mm thin innards.
The AT300 sports a 1280×800 10.1in Gorilla Glass-clad screen wrapped in an aluminium shell. A 5MP camera graces the tablet’s rear, with a 2MP offering on the front.
The Toshiba AT300 also comes chock full of ports – including a combo audio in/out jack, a micro HDMI output and a very handy full-size SDHT/SDXTSD card slot, as well as support for eMMC cards – an ideal DSLR partner perhaps?
Toshiba’s new tablet is no slouch in the power department either, promising a battery life of 10 hours of solid video playback. Gadgeteers with puny arms will also appreciate the AT300’s 590g weight – a whole 63g lighter than the new iPad 3 (reviewed here).
There’s no word on an official price or release date as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated, so stay tuned.
