Samsung launches dual-core Galaxy Player 70 Plus
It's the world's first dual-core media player. Clue: it's like a phone without being a phone.
If you liked the look of the Samsung Galaxy Player 50 which went on sale in January, you might want to hold fire on picking one up. Sammy has just launched another media player treat over in Korea – the dual-core Samsung Galaxy Player 70 Plus.
On top of that confusingly long name, the new Galaxy Player will sport a sizeable 5in screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera and will run an unspecified version of Android. With a big 2500mAh battery, the Galaxy Player’s screen shouldn’t drain your gadget juice too quickly – and you’ll need plenty of time to enjoy 16 or 32GB worth of music and movies while you’re out and about.
Samsung hasn’t mentioned whether anyone outside Korea will be seeing the Galaxy Player 70 Plus, what with the Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.2 just announced at Mobile World Congress 2012 – but, as ever, we won’t exactly keep it a secret when Samsung fills us in.
