Sony Ericsson leaks Xperia X3 release date?

Sony Ericsson has accidentally let us in on what appears to be the launch date for the Xperia X3 and its rather lovely "Rachael" Android UI

A teaser website from the company turned out to be much more than a tease when the coders of the website forgot to hide the source code of the main image – an infinity sign named in the code as “Rachael – infinity”.

After news of this little hiccup leaked on to the web, the South African arm of Sony Ericsson posted a link on its Twitter feed leading to the teaser page saying: “Latest teaser site up for project Rachael, reveal will be on the 3rd November”.

However, this didn’t stay up long, and was changed to be slightly more ambiguous: “Latest teaser site up for what may be project Rachael ?, reveal will be on the 3rd November”. You don’t fool us SE.

All that aside, the teaser site brags: “Sometimes there’s a thin line between the

extraordinary and the magical. Did we cross it?”

All remains to be seen next week, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it measures up to expectations.

We’ll be keeping you up to date with all the news – check out the leaked specs for the X3, watch the Rachael UI video and be sure to let us know what you think below.
