And the award for impeccable timing for a press announcement goes to Carphone Warehouse. The company chose the arse-end of the busiest day is Gadgetland (what with IFA and Nokia World) to announce that it will be the exclusive stockists of the LG Chocolate 2, which goes on sale next week.

Admist absolutely no fanfare, it was announced that the LG Chocolate 2, or “LG New Chocolate” BL40, as it now seems to be known, will be available form the retailer from 8 September, and will be free on a £35 contract with O2, Orange and Vodafone.

As we already knew, the handset will come packing a unique 4-inch HD screen, complete with 21:9 aspect ratio to allow for crazy easy web browsing.

The Dual Screen UI will also allow you to split the screen up and view different content side by side at the same time. Tasty.
