Gadget of the Day: 4Gamers 2.1 Wii Speakers

What’s this? A new wide-boy Wii that’s had too many pies? No, it’s actually the first officially licensed 2.1 speaker set-up for Nintendo’s all-white gamer.

That porky Wii next to the real thing is actually the bass-pumping sub, while the two outsize nunchuks are a pair of craftily disguised speakers.

They’ll even have a crack at pseudo surround sound with their ‘3D’ noisemaking feature. But with no 5.1 audio on board the Wii, don’t expect anything too fancy.

Still, they look a treat – and should go nicely with our Mario curtain/duvet set and mushroom lamp.
