Beoplay M3 is the latest addition to B&O Play’s multiroom speaker family
Good things come in smaller packages
Like most electronics companies these days, Bang & Olufsen wants to be all over your house. The high-end Danish brand’s audio-focused sub-brand B&O Play has today unveiled Beoplay M3, a compact counterpart to the larger speakers in its expanding family. The oval-shaped device can play your tunes via Bluetooth or WiFi, the latter enabling connectivity to as many B&O-made speakers as you can fit into your home for a Sonos-rivalling multiroom setup. Under the hood you’ve got a custom-built long stroke mid/woofer, with a soft dome tweeter on treble duty. Unlike its barrel-shaped bigger brother the M5, you won’t get 360 sound, but it should easily fill most rooms. The speaker comes either Natural or Black, with interchangeable front covers (premium wool or pearl blasted anodized aluminium) to suit your interior. It’s available to buy now for £279.
