LG’s new lineup of HDR monitors are tech-loaded marvels

Continuing the last fortnight’s trend of announcing products juuuust before the CES tidal wave, LG has today unveiled the newest additions to its range of HDR monitors, and from support act to the mainstage headliner, they’re all stunners. First up there’s the 32-inch 4K 32UK950, which boasts LG’s colour-enhancing Nano IPS tech. Apparently it outputs 98 percent of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum – Hollywood movie editor-worthy. Not much has been said about the 34GK950G, other than the fact that it also supports Nano IPS, as well as NVIDIA G-Sync for screen tear-free gaming. The biggest (in every sense of the word) announcement, though, is the 34WK95U, a frankly outrageous ultra-wide 34-inch 5K monitor. We’re talking 5120 x 2160 pixels on a screen wide enough to satisfy the most hardcore multitasker. It sounds like all three models support HDR600, while Thunderbolt 3 connectivity is a bonus. All eyes on Vegas for details about availability and pricing. As far as the latter in concerned, just brace yourselves.
