Optoma brings laser illumination to its latest UHD projector
Beaming with pride
Going to the cinema is great, but there are downsides: crisp-rustling, sticky floors and popcorn-flinging teenagers to name a few. Maybe that’s why more and more people are becoming increasingly tempted by projectors and the idea of bringing the big screen experience to their mercifully private living rooms. Optoma’s latest entry into the category is the UHZ65, a 4K projector that uses laser technology to deliver 8.3 million pixels to the screen with 3000 lumens of brightness. There its Amazing Colour feature, where each viewing mode has been tweaked to ensure colour reproduction is as the director intended, while PureMotion processing eliminates motion blur and unpleasant image judder, even in the most chaotic action flicks. Home cinephiles can pick one up from later this month for £4999.99.
