Aliens: Colonial Marines get tense new trailer

Gearbox reveals more of the upcoming FPS bug hunt, including motion trackers and settings

Upcoming first-person shooter Aliens: Colonial Marines promises to bring the tension of James Cameron’s classic to your living room, and a new trailer from makers Gearbox attempts to show how.

The trailer focusses a lot on the motion scanner, and reveals that the developers have used the original 20th Century Fox master audio to deliver the iconic bleep-bloop of the machine. It also takes a look at some of the settings for the game, which include Hadley’s Hope, the “Space Jockey” room from Alien (and Prometheus), and the Marine’s ship the Sulaco, for which the team consulted the original production designer.

Aliens: Colonial Marines will launch in February 2013. Take a look at the trailer below:
