Asus EeePC has designs on your desktop

Asus’ wee EeePC (pictured) has been such a tiny big hit that rabid mini-laptop fans have had trouble tracking one down. But lovers of budget binary need worry no more with news today of new additions to the Eee range.

President of Asus, Jerry Shen, revealed all on three new products for 2008 including an iMac-style all-in-one PC called the E-Monitor. Combining our knowledge from old Jezza with some info from a top secret Asus source we’re expecting a 24in PC with wireless HDMI and a built-in TV tuner. Expect a similarly dinky price to the EeePC, probably around the £500 mark.

For sofa surfers there’ll also be telly that thinks it’s a PC with the Asus E-TV – a 42in LCD with the Linux-based operating system found on the EeePC built-in. Handy if you just can’t face grabbing your laptop to check Facebook for the 14th time that minute.

A more standard tower-type PC without a monitor called the E-DT is also scheduled to launch in April or May, probably for around £250.

We’re Eeexcited already.
