Exclusive hands–on video with Asus Eee PC 900
Last night we brought you the skinny on the spanking new Asus Eee PC 900. And now we’ve got an exclusive hands–on video for you to take a
The Eee PC 900 comes with a Eee PC 701–beating 8.9in screen, with its resolution hefted up to 1024 x 600.
Launching here in Blighty on 1 May, the lappy comes in two flavours. An XP-packing 12GB version and a 20GB Linux beast. Both come with 1GB of RAM, beating the Eee PC 701’s 512MB offering.
The built-in webcam has been similarly pimped to a decent 1.3MP, but the biggest change has to be the multitouch trackpad. OK, at 3.5in it might be a bit dinky for the fat of finger, but it’s still a wicked addition to a bargain laptop.
Talking of price, it clocks in at mere £329 for either the 12GB XP version, or 20GB with Linux. For our money, the latter has to be the best bet.
