Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm are now available on Xbox 360’s dashboard, and there’s no need for any update to get your mitts on them.

We first heard about the Xbox 360 social network integration at E3 earlier in the year, and now it’s here, confirmed by Microsoft’s Major Nelson on Twitter as needing no system update to get started.

Any Xbox user wanting to try it out will simply need to turn on their machine and they’ll see the new entries ready and waiting to be used, alongside a new Zune-branded download portal.

Not wanting to be left out of the loop, Sony has wasted no time in announcing its own firmware update 3.10 which will bring Facebook to the XMB.

PlayStation gamers will also have the chance to link up their PSN and Facebook accounts for automatic trophy and PSN updates.

Will you use social networks through your console, or have you tried them out already? Let us know what you think the updates below.
