iPhone SE name explained
When the iPhone SE‘s name was rumoured before Monday’s announcement, we wondered what it might mean. "Smaller Edition?" "Special Edition?" After the launch, we figured it might be "Surprisingly Excellent," but now we have official word.
It’s "Special Edition" after all. That’s according to Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Fortune’s reporter managed to talk to him for a moment after the event, and Schiller considers it an homage to 1987’s Macintosh SE. So now you know.

Telltale’s Walking Dead returns this year
Telltale Games is currently in the midst of a three-episode The Walking Dead: Michonne mini-series, but if you’re anxious to continue the main thread of the company’s Walking Dead storyline, take heart: season three will indeed begin before 2016 is up.
Mashable has the scoop, along with a heavily spoiler-filled write-up that talks about how season three might pick up from the last. Telltale will probably unveil season three around Comic-Con International this summer, with the release coming later in the year.
In other Telltale news, the company has decided to release three additional Minecraft: Story Mode episodes this year. The first four episodes were released late last year, and the fifth – due out next week, on 29 March – will complete the main story, along with the season pass purchases. But these three extra episodes will apparently be separate from the main narrative and sold separately.

Evolution Studios shuts down
Sad news this week as a very talented UK game studio is shutting down. Sony has decided to close down Evolution Studios, the team behind the MotorStorm series and most recently Driveclub. Evolution already lost 55 employees about a year ago following Driveclub‘s extended development and messy launch.
Sony says it will try to place employees within other studios and projects, but Evolution is done. It’s a shame: Driveclub was underwhelming and the launch was a disaster, but MotorStorm was an excellent PS3 showcase. Best of luck to all affected by the closure.
