Timeline beta for old Pebble watches
Pebble made a big leap forward with this year’s release of Pebble Time, not only bringing colour into the mix but also the helpful Timeline interface – and original Pebble users aren’t going to be fully left behind. Yesterday, Pebble announced that it’s starting to welcome beta testers for the Timeline interface on older watches.
Both Pebble and Pebble Steel users with an Android device can apply for the beta test now, but it sounds like the delay won’t be long if you don’t test: Pebble says the operating system update will be available this month for all across platforms. Worth the wait? Hopefully!

Mario Maker meets Mercedes Benz
After years of driving go-karts, Mario recently graduated to something a little swankier: a Mercedes-Benz. And following its first appearance in Mario Kart 8, now Mario can drive a Mercedes-Benz GLA in Super Mario Maker.
The free add-on content brings a special Event Course with Mario driving the car, and sees Mario drive through a dealership, riding on the autobahn, and cruising through a city. Weird, right? You can find it in the Event Courses menu in the game.

Siri Remote app coming to iOS
With this week’s tvOS 9.1 update, the existing Remote app for iOS now works with the new Apple TV – but Apple has something even better in the works. According to Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Internet software and services, the company will have a new Siri Remote app ready next year.
"We’re working on a new Apple TV remote app that will give you the full functionality of the Siri Remote on your iPhone," he told BuzzFeed News. “We’re hoping to ship that in the first half of next year."
Well, that ought to be handy – and cheaper to use your existing phone than to buy a replacement or additional Siri Remote.

Godzilla Resurgence teaser
Last year’s Hollywood reboot was well received, but Toho has its own Japanese reboot of Godzilla in the works for release in cinemas next July – and it’s co-directed by Hideaki Anno of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame. Check out the first teaser above; it doesn’t show much, but at least you’ll get a sense of the seemingly chaotic aesthetic.
